Gaming in the Library?!

You may not know that next week is Teen Tech Week, a week created by the American Library Association to celebrate all things tech and teen. To kick off this week, we're finally getting around to starting a blog as a way to communicate to our school community as well as to the wider community. We are going to try to write blog updates about library issues, but we also want to use this space to hear from you.

Even more exciting than starting this blog, we are planning on having a gaming night and starting to check out games to students!

So here's our first questions. What games do you love to play? What games would you check out from the library? What games would be best for a gaming night? Bring it on: comment below!

There's always the additional possibility of a LAN party or a mock-up of such. I have the ability to host a server for Team Fortress 2, and can access hosting for servers of Warcraft III, World of Warcraft, and Counter-Strike. Additionally, I have plenty of multiplayer GameCube games that I can bring in, as well as memory cards with all the necessary save files and extra controllers if needed.

I could bring games like Rock Band and/or Guitar Hero for game night. These would attract a broader range of people.

I can bring my gamecube as well. Super smash brothers melee. PC's would be nice also. I have Counter Strike source, WoW, Half Life 2 deathmatch...the good stuff. LAN parties would be best. But we will need TV's to play all of this on.
